Get started!

First:

Go to animaljam.com and click "Play now". Then you click "create new animal". Now you can choose your animal from nine different ones, wich are wolf, giraffe, bunny, tiger, seal, koala, panda, penguin and monkey (4.8.2017). When you have chosen your animal you can choose a name for it. Then when you click the → it asks your birth month and day, your gender and your age. Then you can choose your animal jam username and password.
Tip: Write your username and password to paper or ask your parent to save it, so you don't get locked out from your account. Do not tell or show your password to anyone.
Then it asks your parents email and tells you bit of rules. Then you get to starter guide, where one of Animal Jam's alphas, Peck or Liza shows how to change your look etc. After that you get to Jamaa and can start playing!

If you go to different land you can come back to your den by clicking house image next to that earth.

Trading:

Trading is a big part of Animal Jam. You have your own trade list, where you can put your items for trade. People can trade you only when you are online.

It looks like this when someone is trading you. You can choose if you want to trade the item or not. Some items are rarer than other. Items value and fair trading can be difficult to understand at start and I can't really tell what is worth to trade to something, but in this case (picture) the cap esmeay is trading is better than your necklace.
The item looks grey because you are not a member and you can't wear that cap on your animal.

Membership?

Now you are probably wondering what is a member? Members get many special features that non-members don't, but unfortunately membership costs real money. Don't worry, you can keep playing without membership.

Members get these features for example:

- Daily member spin

- Adopt and customize pets

- Access to all animals

- All accessories and dens

- Access to member-only parties and adventures
- Gifting
- Host own parties

They are pretty big things. There aren't many items in shops for non-members wich is pretty sad. I have membership and I can say that playing becomes even more fun with it!
